SO....what's a PorPor Book ?
'PorPor' is a derogatory term my brother used, to refer to the SF and Fantasy paperbacks and comic books I eagerly read from the late 60s to the late 80s.
This blog is devoted to those paperbacks and comics you can find on the shelves of second-hand bookstores...from the New Wave era and 'Dangerous Visions', to the advent of the cyberpunks and 'Neuromancer'.

The Golden Queen by Druillet and Bihannic
'The Golden Queen' by Philippe Druillet (story) and Serge Bihannic (art) from the July, 1977 issue of Heavy Metal magazine
This one was nice. I like the black and white art and irreverent story. Bihannic's and Druillet's "The Story Of The Acrylic Magus And His Vibratory Perturbations" from HM July 1978 was one of my favorites, though it never continued. I think it was the same Hurath character.
Like to confirm Fred's comment … yes, it's the same character and alas, I don't think anything else Bihannic did ever appeared in North America.
the guy was a serious inkster …
Both of these stories fried my brain as a teenager and I became obsessed with cross-hatching … years later I'm still in pen and ink rehab but I putting my life back together now … one line at a time …
