Mick Farren (1943 - 2013) was a UK polymath: a member of rock / punk bands, a journalist for music and pop culture magazines, as well as a successful science fiction author.
Farren's 1978 LP Vampire Stole My Lunch Money is considered a seminal punk record. Contributing musicians included Sonja Kristina (wife of Police drummer Stewart Copeland) and Chrissie Hynde (founder of The Pretenders and, like Farren, a writer for the New Musical Express).

At his blog, Pete Stanfield provides a lengthy overview of Farren's novels and stories from the 1970s. There are abundant scans of covers, as well as capsule summaries of the contents. This is one of the more comprehensive looks available on Farren's canon, and it you're a fan of his works and the sci-fi of the Seventies, it's well worth visiting.
